AstraZeneca will invest $2.5 billion in a new research and development center to be established in China.

AstraZeneca, the British pharmaceutical giant, has announced a $2.5 billion investment in a research and development center in Beijing, China.

The new facility is expected to increase AstraZeneca's workforce in Beijing to approximately 1,700 employees.
