BETAM: A decline was observed in household inflation expectations.
Foreks reports that the average household inflation expectation for one year ahead has decreased by 3 percentage points compared to the previous month, now standing at 59.8%. According to BETAM's study, the majority of participants (31%) predict that inflation will be between 41-60% in the coming year. The percentage of those expecting inflation to be lower than the current level (39.1%) has dropped by 5.9 points to 25.6%.
The study indicates that inflation expectations are higher among women, with 66.4% compared to 56% for men. When evaluated by age, only the 45-54 age group saw a rise in inflation expectations, while others declined. The lowest inflation expectation is found in the 25-34 age group (54.5%), and the highest in the 45-54 age group (63.4%). These insights highlight how inflation expectations vary based on demographics and job status.
