The BIST 100 continues its sideways movement: Which stocks saw the most demand today?
The BIST 100 started positively but lost its gains during intraday trading. The index opened with a value increase of 1.88%, reaching as high as 9,830 points in the morning session before retreating to 9,609 points due to subsequent sales. In the last hour, the index fluctuated around 9,630 points, reflecting a slight decrease of 0.1%. While the BIST 30 index fell by about 0.3%, the rest of the stock market displayed a positive trend exceeding 1%.
Sector indices showed that factoring emerged as the standout sector with a 6% rise today, followed by textiles, paper, and tourism, which experienced increases around 1%. The sectors that faced the most decline were construction, banking, and communication. Among the BIST 100, the top five gaining stocks were CANTE, SASA, MAGEN, ALFAS, and TKFEN, while the largest losers included ARCLK, ALTNY, YEOTK, SAHOL, and KONTR. In the currency market, the dollar/TL hovered around 38, and euro/TL moved at 41.1. Meanwhile, gold prices climbed by 1.1% to reach 3,729 TL.
