Economic confidence in Turkey has reached its highest level in the last 21 months.
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has released its Economic Confidence Index report for March 2025. The report highlights an overall increase in economic confidence and a prevailing sense of optimism.
In March, the Economic Confidence Index rose by 1.6% to reach 100.8, indicating a general optimism in economic indicators. The Consumer Confidence Index saw a significant rise of 4.6% to 85.9, reflecting improved consumer expectations and a more positive outlook on economic conditions. The rise in consumer confidence can have a beneficial impact on the overall economy. Meanwhile, the Real Sector Confidence Index increased by 0.4% to 103.2, showing satisfaction among firms in the manufacturing sector regarding economic conditions. However, the retail sector experienced a drop of 2.5%, highlighting cautiousness amid economic uncertainties. Overall, the fluctuations across various sectors underscore the importance of economic diversity in Turkey.
