RENEWAL-Kacır: Industrial investments in 15 of our cities will contribute $12 billion annually to our current account balance.
The Minister of Industry and Technology, Mehmet Fatih Kacır, shared details on large-scale industrial investments projected at $9.3 billion, which will create over 20,000 jobs and contribute $12 billion annually to the current account balance. He emphasized that these investments across 15 cities, from Edirne to Samsun and Bilecik to Sivas, will enhance Turkey's strength in various sectors, including solar energy technologies, next-generation vehicles, defense industry, and health technologies.
Kacır also highlighted a $1 billion investment by Chery for a Next-Generation Vehicle Manufacturing and Supply Industry Campus in Samsun, alongside a list of firms and their respective investments in innovative technologies. This initiative aims to secure raw material supply and boost Turkey's rise in innovative technologies.
